The Crucible Post 1

By the end of act one, the power in Salem has shifted drastically. The girls, who previously had little to no power, now have all of the power. They were merely children. They were also girls, and women did not have a lot of power back then. But, after the suspicion of the Devil pops up within the town of Salem, and the girls seem to have all the answers, people start to pay much more attention to them. Anything they say goes. They are able to accuse others of witchcraft and be believed without question. Nobody objects to what they say. Abigail leads the other girls and they fear her; so they listen to her.
